BRIMA LOGISTICS “SPOT THE OLD LADY & WIN” COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Promoter
This Competition is promoted by BRIMA Logistics (Pty) Ltd (Registration Number: 2005/009398/07) (“Promoter”) and is conducted in accordance with
the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

 

2. Competition Period
The Competition runs from 5 March 2025 to 28 March 2025 (“Competition Period”). If the vintage truck (“Old Lady”) is non-operational during this period, the Competition Period and winner announcement will be extended by the number of days the truck is out of service. Updates will be posted on BRIMA Logistics’ social media platforms.

 

3. Eligibility
To enter, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older, a South African citizen/resident with a valid SA ID.
  • Not be an employee, director, agent, or immediate family member of BRIMA Logistics or its affiliates.

 

4. How to Enter

  • Spot the Old Lady (vintage truck) operating in Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, or Pretoria.
  • Snap a clear photo of the truck (entire vehicle must be visible).
    Post the photo on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads or BlueSky.
  • Tag @brimalogistics and use the hashtags:
    Mandatory: #brimais20yearsold and #spottedbrimavehicle.
    Optional: #brimalogistics or #itsabouttime.
  • Follow @brimalogistics on all social media platforms listed above.

 

Unlimited entries
allowed (each sighting = 1 entry). Blurred images, incorrect tags, or posts violating platform community guidelines (e.g., offensive content) will be disqualified.

 

5. Prize

  • One (1) winner will receive R20,000 (cash).
  • Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash alternatives.

 

6. Winner Selection

  • Winner will be randomly selected from valid entries on 28 March 2025 (or adjusted date if extended).
  • BRIMA Logistics will verify entries against the truck’s operational schedule and routes.
  • Winner will be notified via social media direct message (DM) within 48 hours of selection.
  • Winner must claim the prize within 7 days of notification. If unclaimed, a new winner will be selected.

 

7. Data Privacy & Promotional Use

  • Personal data collected (e.g., social media handles) will be processed in compliance with POPIA.
  • By entering, the winner consents to the use of their name, image, and entry photo for BRIMA Logistics’ promotional purposes (e.g., social media, newsletters).

 

8. Disputes & Amendments

  • Disputes must be submitted to the BRIMA Marketing Department (marketing@brima.com).
  • BRIMA Logistics reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the Competition due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., truck breakdowns).
  • The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

9. Governing Law

10. Payment Terms

10.1. Payment Method

  • The R20,000 prize will be issued as a pre-loaded cash card.
  • The winner must provide their full name, contact details, and physical address to BRIMA Logistics via secure channels to facilitate delivery of the cash card.

 

10.2. Tax Liability

  • The winner is solely responsible for declaring the prize to the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and settling any applicable taxes.
  • BRIMA Logistics will not deduct or manage tax obligations related to the prize.

 

10.3. Payment Timeline

  • The prize will be processed and delivered within 30 days of the winner successfully claiming the prize (i.e., completing all required documentation).
  • Delays due to incomplete documentation or force majeure events (e.g., courier delays) will not invalidate the prize.

 

10.4. Verification Requirements

  • To claim the prize, the winner must provide:
    • A valid South African ID (copy or original).
    • A signed acceptance form (provided by BRIMA Logistics).
  • Failure to submit these documents within the 7-day claim period will result in forfeiture of the prize.

 

10.5. Contingencies

  • If the winner cannot receive the cash card (e.g., relocation, incapacity), BRIMA Logistics may, at its discretion, allow the prize to be collected by an authorized representative with written proof of consent and valid ID.
